The Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is considered by many to be the best affordable midsize sport utility vehicle of 2010

. If fact, it is considered to be comparable with some luxury SUVs. Featuring one of the most comfortable, quietest rides available for a vehicle of its class, the Enclave comfortably sits a family of eight people. Many reviewers have commented that it drives more like a car than an SUV, and offers a much more luxurious ride than other vehicles in its class.

The Enclave is available in three packages: the basic CX, the upgraded CXL, and the high end CXL2. All options are available with either front or all wheel drive.

The safety of the vehicle is excellent, earning five star crash test ratings for front and side impacts. It also received a four star rating for protection against rollovers, which is very good for an SUV. Safety features include anti lock brakes on all four wheels, automatic crash response through OnStar, a traction control system, and driver and passenger air bags. The CXL and CXL2 models feature a rear parking assist, and the optional navigation upgrade includes a rearview camera.

The interior of the Enclave is incredibly roomy, providing space for eight passengers to sit comfortably with cargo room to spare. For its class, the interior is also very comfortable and rich in features. As with all midsize SUVs, the third row is a little small for adults, but it is more roomy than most.

The second row can be ordered with either two or three seats. The two seat option features more comfortable "captain's" chairs, as well as a console in the center complete with cup holders, storage room, and a 12 volt power source. The front seats come with internal heating in the CXL model, and cooling as well in the CXL2 model.

The vehicle comes equipped with three separate climate zones, and an adjustable steering column that can be tilted or extended. An optional thumb drive port allows for a large amount of music storage.

A hundred and fifteen feet of cargo space is available with the second and third rows folded down, and a great deal of space is still available with all of the seats in use.
