What do you think was the first product ever to be manufactured by the world-renown Casio Company

In 1946, Tadao Kashio, Casio's founder, invented a product called the yubiwa pipe. Worn on the finger, it held a person's cigarette, allowing him to smoke it down to the filter while continuing to have full use of both hands. This ingenious item was just the beginning of Casio's success.

As a result of the popularity of the yubiwa pipe, Casio was able to raise the capital to extend its product line. By the mid-1950's, they were designing revolutionary calculators, and were the first to implement the ten-digit keypad. Not long after, Casio watches burst on the scene. With their eye for design, practicality, and innovation, is it any wonder that Casio was one of the first to manufacture digital and analog quartz crystal watches? In an amazingly short period of time, this upstart company surpassed many of its stalwart European competitors, both in quality and popularity.

The calculator watch gave its user the ability to tell time, as well as to make mathematical calculations on a tiny keypad built into the watch.
