The Chinese Demand An Explanation Of The Meeting Between The Us And Australia

The meeting in question refers to the inroads that the United States is making in Australia

. We will preposition troops and equipment there to be able to respond to any Chinese aggression if necessary. The US is developing alliances in the region to safe guard against future Chinese aggression. There is a definite threat of war in the region and I feel that one day it will happen because the Chinese are in desperate need of the resources in the South China Sea and the entire Pacific Rim.

Chinas population is huge and constantly expanding. They will need access to every resource that they can get in order to survive as a country. If they have to take them by force they wont hesitate to do so.

War is looming in the future because there is no obvious solution to the problem. Chinas population will continue to grow unabated and it will grow out of its boundaries. They will have to take drastic measures to feed and clothe their population.

The Chinese are demanding an explanation of the situation with the talks and the positioning of US troops in Australia. Now we dont need to explain anything that we do to the Chinese and as far as I am concerned they can go suck on an egg. I am not a politician and with politics being what they are the US cant just tell them to go and suck an egg. I do say that we dont need to begin explaining our actions to them. They understand force and intimidation and if we capitulate to their demand they wont hesitate to come with a stronger demand the next time. If we cave in they will expect us to cave in again the next time. If we dont they will feel that they have the right to push the issue.

Michelle Flournoy who is the Undersectary of Defense for Policy says that the US deployment in Australia is not aimed at constraining China (Yea right). That sounds to me like the offensive weapons that the Chinese are developing are not for offensive use lie that the Chinese have been telling for quite a while.

The US will maintain a force of at least 2,500 Marines who will be based in Darwin Australia. This seems like it will be a permanent arrangement. The Marines will rotate in and out periodically but there will always be the 2,500 Marine contingent.

Flournoy also said that the United States do not consider the Chinese to be an adversary. OK now we have gotten into the ridiculous with the political platitudes. If we dont consider the Chinese to be an adversary at this time we need to start. If we dont then we are not being smart.

She claims that the US and Australia will have military exchanges and conduct counter piracy exercises. This may be true but its not everything. A force this large or permanent is nor required just to do the things that she has stated. This should alert you that there are other, bigger, plans in store.

The US certainly would be doing the right thing to position a force in this area and the Chinese dont deserve an explanation as to why.Military Ring Express
