The Common Of Western And Eastern Oil Painting

A week ago, a friend who loves Oil Painting asked me about Western Oil Painting and Eastern Oil Painting

. What is the common and different thing between them? It is really a big and difficult question for me.

I do not know much about Oil Painting art. In my mind, both Western Oil Painting and Eastern Oil Painting are using their own specific ways to convey information, to express opinions and feelings. Maybe the ways are a little bit different because there are so many ways for us to express our opinions and feelings. For writers, they would like to express their opinions and feelings in their words; for singers, they prefer to write songs and sing them aloud; for photographers, they like to take a lot of beautiful photos; everyone is trying his own way to make his points.

For painters, they would rather paint paintings than other things. One common thing is that they show their attitude in their paintings. Oil Paintings contain the authors' way of thinking, not by words and songs, just a painted picture. Both Western Oil Painting and Eastern Oil Painting cover all the subjects, use all the ways to express themselves. What subjects to paint, what color to use, how to express the deep heart feeling become the most abstract thing in painting. And may be that why it is difficult to understand the paintings and painters.
