The Complex Concept Of Abortion

How is abortion considered a norm in one country and a taboo in another

? How can the lawmakers from other states shrug it off while those of Virginia are making ways to regulate it? Different people have different views. Different minds formulate different prejudices. Abortion is a widely debated concept since it deals with life. Is it really an advantage? Is it a sin against God and ones future offspring? The questions go on and on. But there will never be a definite answer. How can there be when opinion makers from everywhere voice out their convictions as if they are the absolute truth. Whether abortion is a bad or good thing is relative. Peoples perceptions are different based on their own realities.

One fraction believes that abortion is completely normal and okay. These people think of abortion as just part of a wide set of choices a woman has when having an unwanted pregnancy. Some even advocate to totally legalize abortion in the states as it is a very valid option for family planning. They further argue that it is not harming anyone, and women undergo abortion by choice. Others even use the concept in promoting womens rights.

Then theres another fraction. These people believe that abortion is an abomination to God. They believe that every child deserves to be born so that they can choose the life they want for themselves instead of being killed without even stopping to think of these babies futures. The concept of abortion is so repugnant to these people that knowing someone who underwent abortion will drive them to preach and preach about values and the importance of human life. To them, human life is sacred. They believe that God is the only one who can take away life because he gave it to us at the first place.

And then there are others who just do not care. Abortion is just like an ordinary bread to them. They can always take it or leave it. There are no values or convictions backing up any view they have on the concept because they have none to start with. This considered, a question pops up. With abortion being a widely debated topic carrying various scandalous happenings, how can these people not care? How can they just hover there and not choose a side? Not choose a stand? Are they invertebrates?

Abortion is a big deal. Why? Well, lets just say the part where lives are being determined is already a very serious matter. Lets put things in perspectives and contexts. You can visualize and theorize all you want. But at some contexts, the mothers life is considered more important while on the other, the baby has greater impact to its familywhether in life or death. As long as there is diversity in values, opinions, and convictions, this dispute going around the concept of abortion will not go away. Which is, in a way, a pretty much good thing too because cloned opinions and beliefs mean we have all turned into unthinking, pathetic drones.
