If you are in a multi level program you want help from both your upline and downline members. You want your upline to provide guidance and knowledge and you downline to provide results. The problem is your upline may not know how to succeed and your downline need your guidance and support to get results.

In order to help all members succeed there is a growing trend toward program specific coop programs. The objective is to promote the product, service or opportunity in a way that provides the users with equal opportunity for success.

An example would be the coop members share in the advertising, by either a low monthly cost or other methods of promoting the ads. These ads are for a specific website and in exchange for the members efforts, the user has their own product, service or opportunity link rotated with the other members. This means each time the website is loaded a different member's information is displayed. The theory is for each member to have the same amount of opportunity to convert traffic into sales or signups. In a coop a member might pay $7 per month and get 1000's of traffic hits, own their own the $7 per month may only provide 100 hits or less. Remember in network marketing the more traffic hits you get the greater a hit converts to a sale or signup.

Some coop programs are limited to a specific program members downline. They may rotate their downline members in the advertising until they member receive a specific conversion. Other coop programs may be open to all members of a specific program regardless of the downline placement or team they are on. Usually these types require current program member to pay a small monthly fee, or if you join the program from the actual coop advertising programs the member may get a limited membership in the system until they reach a specific conversion then if they want to continue in the program pay the monthly fee. This monthly fee is usually used to cover advertising cost, but the specifics are determined by the coop administrator.

Are coops going to provide you results? The real question should be will co-ops provide more traffic and the answer usually is yes the will provide more traffic hits or at least the same amount of hits for a lower advertising cost. This is provided they are administered correctly and the users are doing their own part to make the coop program successful.

A successful coop should require its members to take a active involvement in the process. As with any business, and network marketing is a business, your own involvement is required for real success.
