Well there may be many reasons for why you are asking this question. The first and probably the least most common reason is that he didn't like you and has no intention of calling you. The second could be that he is a spineless jerk who was just using you, or is seeing what he can get you to do. These two are very uncommon but they do happen so don't let them.

His reasons for not calling may very well be legitimate, he may literally not had enough time or he just hasn't decided what he wants to do for your second date yet, but whatever his reason for not calling sinister or honest, it is imperative that you do not call him and you wait it out. Be patient even if you really like him because it's important that you keep the upper hand in the dating game, you don't want him to see your true colours too early, so keep your cards hidden.

If he is one of those guys that just wants to keep you on edge and leave you wanting more, then the best way to deal with these, if you think they are worth it, is to completely ignore them just get on with everything else in your life or maybe date someone else. That way he doesn't have the control and you make him realise that you have a strong character and your independence is not about to be scuppered by some low life who isn't man enough to call you up. When the guy does eventually call, you must react in the same subtle way, you must let him know that you are interested but not too eager.

And you must let him know that you are relaxed and breezy but not so much that you don't care. It's a fine line but just be natural and you should be okay.

The date is all yours, just be yourself and if he doesn't like you for who you are then dump him. There are hundreds of cliches for dates; the main point however is the signals you give off. Always look in his eyes and he'll love that stare that will make him uncomfortable and engage in light grazing of his arm or something that will let him know you're interested but not desperate.

After the date you are back to the situation which again can be unsettling but just remain cool and you will be fine. Either way if he is worth it, he will make the effort with you and if you like him then let your emotions run. Just in case you do not like him then just politely ignore the guy. Whatever you do be yourself and you will have no worries.
