The Desire Smartphone In Black From Htc

HTC have finally released their much hyped handset

, the Desire Black. This impressively high specification handset looks set to take the entire smartphone market by storm.

A glance a the multi media functions on the HTC Desire Black underline the fact that this is not your average handset. Thanks to the addition of a microSD card, a massive 32GB of memory can be added to the phone. With regards to audio files the Desire supports a wide variety of different formats that include MP3, AAC, WMV and WAV. Such a wide range of formats need a good quality media player and the Desire provides it. Helped by the inclusion of Dolby Mobile Enhancement to improve sound quality, and the music player itself feature large sized button making navigation very easy. Tracks can be sorted by Album, Artist, Genre or track name and the phones excellent GHZ processor means that skipping between songs is almost seamless. The same high quality player can be used for viewing video files, where once again a host of formats are supported. A 5 million pixel camera facility is also included on the phone. With additional features such as face recognition, flash and autofocus makes taking impromptu snaps a pleasing experience. Video capture is also support up to WVGA quality.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Desire is its brilliant screen. Measuring 3.7" the capacitive touchscreen is very responsive, and thanks to the manufacturer choosing to use AMOLED technology rather than the standard TFT the images presented on screen are very crisp and rich in colour. The display supports multi touch and the phone also incorporates an accelerometer chip so the phone can perform auto rotate functions. Displaying a 480 x 800 resolution, the screen is perhaps the best currently available. Connectivity is not a problem on the handset either. WiFi is included or whilst on the move the phone support 3G, GPRS and EDGE, meaning wherever you are you can always keep up to date on what is happening around you. The phone also covers social networking well with both Twitter and Facebook widgets installed, and the excellent friendstream function grouping a variety of social network updates from your friends all together in one place. The phone has a 1400mAh battery and also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB port.

The HTC Desire Black looks a superb handset. The Sense UI is great and the screen is one of the best available anywhere. This handset looks set to top the shopping list of smartphone fans everywhere.
