Each and every club desires to bring home the bacon for the Rugby League World Cup. This is an international league participated by players of the member countries of the Rugby League International Federation. The first ever tournament was held in 1954 in France. It is also the first ever event to be recognized as the first Rugby world Cup.
Such events are monumental in declaring the best of the best in this line of sports. The main participating members playing in the lead always would be Australia and New Zealand. But it is New Zealand who most often wins. Since it started, there were only three countries who emerged as constant winners of the said event.
Australia was able to win the tournament for a total of nine times and considered to be the most successful of all teams to ever join the World Cup. Great Britain was able to win for three occasions and New Zealand was able to win once. The Federation has been very supportive of encouraging the youth to join a particular youth rugby league to be better at the said sport.
One example of this youth rugby league games is the one organized by the National Youth Competition. It is also called as the Toyota Cup. It started in 2008 and made up of a total of 16 clubs that compete for the National Rugby League. Rules require that teams must have players whose ages are between 17 to 19 years.
The structural organization of the youth rugby league somehow is a silhouette of the National Rugby League. It has games with lead-ins and uses a salary cap. It also puts its concentrated focus on the life of the players outside the sport.
