The Different Factors That Cause Lower Back Pain And Ways To Treat Them

Back pain is a very common problem that is on the rise

. There are many causes of back pain that can range as a result of an injury, arthritis, or a collapsed vertebrate to name just a few. In this article I will discuss the most common causes of back pain and the possible ways to treat them.

Back pain as a result of an injury can produce the most chronic conditions particularly if the injury is treated poorly or even worse, not treated at all. A common condition is where an injury may have caused a crack in the spine. Since the injury the pain may have subsided however, over the years as the body gets older this injury actually exacerbates causing greater pain as time goes on. The causes of back pain can also be contributed to heredity conditions such as spondylosis which describes the displacement of vertebrates in the lower spine.

Lower back pain can also be an indicator of an underlying symptom that is in no way connected to the back. For example, if you are experiencing acute pain around the lower back area there is a possibility that the cause is due to a kidney or bladder infection. If passing urine is painful or difficult and you are experiencing pain in the lower back area then this should be checked by checked by a doctor before the condition worsens. This could be caused by kidney stones which are very painful and can cause swelling of the kidney walls. The swelling enlarges the kidney making it compress against the lower spine resulting in pain in the lower back.

One of the most common causes of back pain is arthritis. This condition can be both mild and chronic and the common symptom is the swelling and inflammation of the joints. Arthritis tends to exacerbate as we get older as the body and joints become more exposed to wear and tear. Treatment can include the use of over the counter medication such as ibuprofen and for more chronic conditions treatment can involve more potent drugs such as corticosteroids.

Back pain is affecting more people today than ever. This could also be linked to the sedentary lives we lead and the diets we eat. Although, we cannot control back pain as a result of an injury or if it is hereditary, we can however, take certain precautions that can help us prevent or make it worse. You can do this by eating a healthier diet rich in nutrients, and do plenty of stretching and exercises like yoga.
