The rationale behind the DVR detection of images lies in the pixels. A change in pixels is interpreted by the DVR as motion and information is immediately relayed. It should be noted that the surveillance cameras do not have anything to do with motion detection; it is the work of the DVR. In the case of standalone DVRs, the communication between the DVR and the camera is either achieved via a cabled network or a wireless av transmitter and receiver. The DVR also has a splitter monitor which enables the viewing of more than one camera on the screen.
