People who are good at typing need not waste time correcting their typographical errors and they have one less problem to worry about. For those who have learned typing but have not mastered, it is best to play typing games to increase the speed and accuracy.

1.The first thing to learn is the ergonomics. It is very important to maintain the correct posture while typing, in order to type at our best speed. We can also prevent muscle cramps resulting from a wrong posture.

2.The next step is learning the right fingering. Fingering is the most significant part that has to be learnt. Without proper fingering, we will get it all wrong. Practice a bit slowly until you get it right and increase your speed after learning the right fingering.

3.An important thing to take care of is not looking at the keyboard. Most people tend to look at the keyboard while typing. It may seem to be helpful in the beginning but will not help us perfect typing.

4.Some people type fast but with errors. It is better to be slow and steady while learning. Concentrate on the speed only after achieving 100% accuracy in fingering. Though the errors can be corrected then and there, it takes more time than typing a bit slower with accuracy.

5.The best sequence of lessons to follow is alphabets, capitalization, numbers, and special characters. Typing numbers and special characters is a bit more difficult than typing alphabets. Therefore, if you learn the alphabets first and then start with numbers and special characters, it will be much easier.

The efforts are more rewarding if learned with a typing game. Playing typing games is an interesting way to increase the speed and accuracy of typing. With typing games, you can not only have fun but also master the skill. It is equally important to take up typing tests at regular intervals (at least once every day). Keeping track of the test results helps measure the progress we are making. There are different types of typing tests available. Some tests give one sentence at a time and some give a whole paragraph at a time. There are also timed tests which stop us from typing after the stipulated time. The tests which benefit us more are those which dont allow the typographical errors to be corrected. These errors are highlighted and the accuracy is calculated based on the number of errors. This feedback is essential to master typing.
