The next day, I went to the hospital to apply for the admission procedures. The doctor brought out a piece of paper and required me to sign on it. The content was that the mass might be benign or vicious. If it was benign, it would be a small surgery. But if it was vicious, my entire breast as well as the lymph around it would be cut off immediately. And then, I would receive other treatments such as chemotherapy.

At that time, I felt quite frightened. I had never thought that the breast cancer was so near to me and my life become so countable.

After signing my name on that paper, I did not know what to do. I thought of Linda, my most intimate friend who was my classmate in senior high school. I phoned her. Hearing my conditions, she advised me not to worry so much as I was a kind lady and the god would bless a good person in a soft tone and said she would come to the hospital the next day morning before my surgery.

The next day, before 8 o'clock, Linda hurried to my ward with a colorful Ed Hardy women bag. The bag was bright red with a big flower and beautiful characters. Linda told me I would be all right and she sent me this bag because she believed I would be lucky and carry this bag soon.

Half an hour later, I was sent to the surgery room and given a general anaesthetic. After I opened eyes, I saw Linda's smiling eyes. She told me the mass was benign.

Now I have got the stitches on my breast out for several days and my life has returned to normal. But I can not forget Linda's friendship and encouragement, especially the Ed Hardy bag she sent me.
