The Engine Options For The 2010 Infiniti M45

The Infiniti M is a luxurious sedan which has been produced and sold by the Nissan corporation since 2003

. In the early 1990s, the Infiniti M was sold a two door coupe, but was only sold for a few years before being discontinued.

The Infiniti M comes with two engine options. The first option is the 2010 Infiniti M35 which comes with a 3.5 liter six cylinder engine. The V6 within the M35 produces an impressive 303 horsepower. The only transmission option available for the Infiniti M35 is a five speed automatic transmission which comes with a manual shift mode.

The second engine option for the Infiniti M is a 4.5 liter eight cylinder engine. The 2010 Infiniti M45, which comes standard with the V8 engine, gets only slightly better horsepower than the V6. The M45's horsepower is 325. Like the M35 the 2010 Infiniti M45 comes standard with the five speed automatic transmission that has a manual shift mode.

Like most powerful luxury sedans, fuel efficiency is a concern. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the M35 gets 17 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. The more powerful M45 get an estimated 16 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway.

The 2010 Infiniti M45 and M35 have similar engine options that the Infiniti M had in previous years. The 2010 model is the last model of the current Infiniti M generation. Starting with the 2011 Infiniti M, the third generation will be unveiled. The third generation Infiniti M is expected to have a more powerful engine which will get even more horsepower. Current plans include introducing a hybrid engine which will drastically improve the car's fuel efficiency.
