The Evolution Of The Nikon D90 Digital Slr
Nikon as a company has been more than just a camera brand that has been producing
run-of-the-mill cameras, they're best standard DSLR camera, the Nikon D90 digital SLR, is one of the best tools a photographer can use and get an affordable price in the market today. Its reputation and performance can be attributed to features from earlier DSLR models that have all contributed to its development today.
The Nikon D90 was created to be able to compete with other camera DSLRs from different brands like Canon and Olympus. What we have now is a D90 digital SLR camera that is capable of so much more than its rivals. I say this with the utmost respect for the Nikon series because of how its features have benefitted me as a photographer today.
So exactly what features have contributed into making a perfect combination of a camera? Let's take a look.
First there let's take a look at the more obvious features of the Nikon D90. If you notice the DSLR camera body itself, you'll also notice that it takes it form from the D80. It basically also has the same control layout that makes it so easy to use. The only problem I see here is that it weighs a lot heavier. This is mostly because the D90 also took the pentaprism viewfinder from the earlier model.
Other than that, everything else is mostly on the outside. The next few features are more internal in nature.
Now we have the D300. The D90 took its Live View feature but added a dedicated button in the rear that allows you to use it with just one touch, making it easier to see what you're currently trying to capture. It also adopted the same sensor resolution but improved its 3 inch monitor with a much higher resolution, giving you a realistic Live View of your shots and allowing you to make necessary changes without having to make you upload it to your computer to check all the small details.
When we take a look at the D700, another combination of the D300 and the D3, you will be glad to know that the Nikon D90 developed its quick shot capabilities. This digital SLR camera improved its successive shots capabilities from 5 a second to 9 every second. This is great for creating those nice .gif stills when I'm trying to capture moments when I don't intend to use the D90's video capabilities.
On the subject of video recording, it's basically the first in Nikon's digital slr line to offer progressive video recording that uses the low memory AVI format.
This might sound like a rave review but I swear I really got a great deal for such a low price, considering that it's one of the lowest priced DSLR models that offer these kinds of features.
