By giving the public an opportunity to participate in the decision-making process, it makes us feel important because it is our choices and our votes that decide the winner. These kinds of shows are, to a certain degree, what could be called interactive television.

There are all sorts of new shows and new formats coming out every day as producers and networks strive to capture the attention of their audience. The one thing that remains constant is that we view these shows from our television sets.
