1. Citi Center: The Citi Center is quite a popular one with entertainment, business, and shopping section at the same complex. It consists of five floors with the space of 150,000 square feet. It was opened on March 3rd 2006, by the "B.S. Abdur Rahman Buhari" group. It has many shopping complexes, in which Landmark and Lifestyle are the major ones. These two shops alone occupy half space of the mall. The other shops in Citi Center include Titan, Food World, Health and Glow, etc. All major brands such as Adidas, Wills Lifestyle, Mochi Footwear, Allen Solly, Lilliput, and Van Heusen are available here. The food court of the Chennai Citi Center is a key attraction too. They have KFC, Sangeetha (Famous South Indian Hotel Joint), Arabian Hut, Subway, and Pizza hut. From a steaming hot corn to coffee and pizza's one can relax and enjoy your food, after completing the shopping. Apart from these shops and food court, gaming area is one of the best spot in Citi Center. It is exclusively for children with many video arcades and electronic rides. You can also watch movies at INOX. With parking a major problem in the city, one can be free while going to this shopping mall .There is a multi-level car parking which is massive.

2. Express Avenue Mall Chennai: Express Avenue is the recent addition to the city, opened in the year 2010 by the chief minister of the state. It is a very huge mall with the space of 2,000,000 square feet. The promoter of this mall is Express Infrastructure, the Indian Express group subsidiary. It is the second largest mall in the South India. The parking space can even have a room for 2000 vehicles at a time, without any problem. It is estimated that building this oomph mall has cost about 750 crores. It has food court, eight screen multiplex, coffee shops, entertainment zone, anchor stores, and gourmet supermarket.

3. Ampa Skywalk Mall: Located in Aminjikarai, it is one of the famous hubs for shopping and entertainment. PVR Cinema has opened its multiplex in this mall with 7 screens. Other shops include Tata Star Bazaar, Landmark, huge Westside shop, and other apparel shops. KFC, The body shop, Mc Donalds, and Giordano are other famous and major shops present in this mall. Also, as a specialty it has 20 room skywalk boutique hotel inside the mall. The tariff of the single bedroom is Rs. 3000 and for the double bedroom is Rs. 4000. You can ask for an extra bed, at the rate of Rs. 500. Also, for any kind of corporate and social events, there is banquet hall which can accommodate 50 people.

Other famous malls in Chennai are Spencer Plaza, Fountain Plaza, Abirami Mall, and Ispahani center hall.
