We just love ankle boots. Why? Because they are incredibly versatile and they can make any outfit look cool, hip and trendy. Is there any other type of footwear that is so flexible, that goes with so many different outfits? When it comes to ankle boots, versatility is the name of the game.

We may not be fashion experts (although everyone does seem to be a fashion expert these days!) but we know what looks good and believe us when we say that ankle boots, whatever they are worn with, generally look great!

It is interesting how times change and attitudes to fashion change with the times. For example, just a few years ago, nobody was wearing ankle boots. For some reason they were seen as a bit of a throwback to the eighties, when they first started being worn. But all that changed a couple of years ago when the humble ankle boot really started to make a comeback.

The trend is now here to stay, we think. Girls in the know realize that ankle boots are just incredibly flexible and can be worn with pretty much any outfit and they look great. There are so many different styles available too! Regardless of what sort of clothes you like to wear, jeans, skirts (long or short), office wear, dresses, the right style of ankle boot can set off all of them.

One of the great things about ankle boots is the fact that they don't have to cost the earth. Sure, you can get a pair of Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks that will set you back a small fortune, but generally if you buy a pair of cool looking ankle boots on the high street, they will be fairly inexpensive. For around $20 you can get something that looks good and if you want to pay a bit more, you will get both style and comfort. What more could you want?

As far as designs, colors, shapes, sizes and materials, there is almost an infinite variety. This is another reason why ankle boots are so popular, there are just so many styles to choose from. Black always seems to be the most popular color, probably because it is so versatile. You can't really go wrong with black. But you can have a lot more fun with pink, bright blue or emerald green!

If you want to go shopping to buy a pair of ankle boots, you basically have two choices. You can either shop online, which gives you the advantage of being able to browse through hundreds of designs, makes and styles, or you can take a trip down to your local high street, go into some stores and see what they have available in stock, which gives you the advantage of being able to try the boots on so you can see how they look and feel for real.

Whatever style of clothing you like to wear, whether you're a jeans girl or you prefer skirts, whether you like the punky style or you feel better in a suit, the right pair of ankle boots will work perfectly for you.
