Volleyball is a fantastic sport which completely entices people all around the world and hence the game is a renowned Olympic sport

. It is played with six players of two teams wherein they play from either side of a net which is in between them. The ruling system to this game is quite enormous and the prime part of the game is that the teams get to score against each other by grounding the ball on the opposite team's court, wherein the other rules of the game are met.

The rules governing the game are quite enormous and vast. Usually, the game starts when one of the players of a team starts the serve of the ball across the net to the other team and the player should necessarily do his serving from the back of the boundary line. The receiving team should be extremely careful not to ground the ball and they also have the chance for three consecutive touches on the ball which is called the attack mode and thus the strategy of the team's play would be to serve the ball in such a way that the other team cannot avoid the ball to be grounded off.

Two possibilities can produce an end-result on the rallying of the ball, one possibility is wherein they get a kill where the serving team wins the rally by grounding the ball on the ground of the other team. The team loses the rally by making a mistake which is called the fault.

The team which wins the rally not only makes the points but also is given the chance to start the next rally. When we talk about the faults, they usually include the fact that the ball is thrown outside the boundary of the court space or the ball has touched the net when it was thrown. There is also the case of double hits when the same player handles the ball consecutively and also if the players of the same team handle the ball four times in a row.

The playing of the game takes place in an unusual fashion wherein the ball is played by the arms and hands and also short contact of the ball with the other parts of the body is also allowed. Several techniques have emerged in the volleyball game in the present times which are spiking and blocking.

Initially, the game was illustrated as one of the games in the American sports demonstration event 1924 at the Olympic Games in Paris. But the inclusion of the game as a sport occurred during the Summer Olympics of 1964.

The players of the game should possess certain specific skills which are connected with serve, set, pass, block, attack and dig. These skills could be inculcated in the players through certain techniques which require immense practice and guidance.

The two main forms of coaching for volleyball are the match coaching and developmental coaching. Volleyball is one of the loved sports of the people and is a very desirable game in the world.
