There are a lot of things that you can do and see when vacationing in Florida. One of the most popular places for tourists to visit while vacationing in the state of Florida is the Florida Everglades. This national park is one of the largest parks in the United States. There is always something to do and see while visiting this scenic area.

Adults and children alike, both look forward to visiting this 1.5 million acre piece of land. There are a lot of different opportunities that exist within this area. Children and adults can elect to go on guided tours with adept tour guides or simply venture around the park on their own, taking in the gorgeous views and becoming one with the animals that graze the wide open pastures.

There are a lot of different tourist groups that visitors have the option of becoming a part of. Three of the most popular tourist groups are the shark valley tram groups, the boating tour groups, as well as the air boat groups. It would seem silly to walk around the park by yourself, when there are groups that are specifically set up throughout the area to give you a full view of the gorgeous landscape.

If you elect to take a tram tour while visiting this gorgeous national park, be aware that the tram tours will last about two hours. If the tour guide sees something that they believe should interest tourists, they will automatically stop the tram and give everyone on board the opportunity to take a closer look at the sites beyond the tram.

The boating tours give you an option to become one with the wildlife that lives in the water. Flamingos, fish, and dolphins will surround your boat as you make your way through the water. You have the option of being a passenger or a participant when riding on one of these boat tours.

Air boats will give tourists another great way to venture through the Florida everglades. However, these boats have been banned from operating within the boundaries of the park. But, there are some outside guides that still operate these boats along the outskirts of the park.

There is definitely no other place on this earth that comes close to the majestic beauty of the everglades. Tourists that decide to take a vacation and travel through the area will never forget their experiences as long as they live.
