The Football Time For The Season 2010
It's back. Its football season again in America. This is the game that we love to
love. It is the game that most every boy starts out playing from Pop Warner football to the professional ranks. It is the game that is the identity of America. It is the one that makes us passionate for the fall. Football signals the beginning of the seasons and the end of the summer.
There are so many good teams that are playing. Sure, there are the teams like the Lions who have been the doormats of the NFL for so many years, and they are rebuilding. The Patriots have been the most dominant team of the 2000's, and with Tom Brady at quarterback, and with head coach Bill Belichek, they still are dangerous.
Last year, the Super Bowl champs were the New Orleans Saints. They, for so many years, were a team whose fans wore paper bags on their heads because they were embarrassed by their play. Not anymore. The Saints were a team of destiny last year and may be the heavy favorite to get back to the big game. They are lead by Drew Brees under center, and their team is loaded with offensive and defensive talent.
The road to the Super Bowl, which will be played in Arlington, TX this year, may end up going through the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are arguably the league's most talented football franchise this year. Tony Romo is the starting quarterback and they do have head coach Wade Phillips leading the team. They have something to prove, and they are not going to lay down for anyone.
Peyton Manning is still around. That means that the Indianapolis Colts may be going to the Super Bowl. You can never, ever count them out with this field general Manning. He is the heart and soul of the Colts, and with a great coaching staff, and great players surrounding him, they will be a team that strikes fear in all others.
These teams are the ones to beat this year. They have the most talent, and great coaching staffs. But, look out for San Fran. This team is tenocious, and young. Their hunger is fueled by head coach Mike Singletary. He is bringing back a toughness to the Bay area.
