Amsterdam for Business Travelers

Amsterdam for Business Travelers

Because Amsterdam has grown so tremendously in terms of tourism, its no wonder that more and more business ventures are coming along. Along with this is the appearance of many business travelers in the area, from those who go in for casual meetings to larger corporate gatherings. Most of the accommodations in the area are also well equipped with different function rooms and adjoining business centers in order to cater to the traveler. There are also many unique venues that might just provide the right touch for a small getogether or a comfortable sitdown with clients such as a radar boat saloon, a theater turned venue area or the old buildings in the area are great alternatives. Added to this is the many different restaurants which can cater to a large group of conventioners with different International cuisine to choose from for the weary and homesick business associates. So even on business, one can still find the in-betweens of the trip quite relaxing.

De Pijp, The Road Less Traveled for Tourists in Amsterdam

Although not as famous to tourists because of its reputation as being a working class neighborhood, De Pijp is one of the great neighborhoods to visit in Amsterdam, particularly if you want to see a blend of local and foreign culture so seamlessly combined in one setting. De Pijp is considered a melting pot of many nationalities and it widely shows in the several restaurants that offer a fusion of flavors. The most famous attraction at De Pijp is the Albert Cuyp Market, the largest outdoor market in all of Netherlands selling everything from flowers to medicine at rock bottom prices. The market is open 6 days a week excluding Sunday from 9: 00 AM to 6: 00 PM. Mamouche, a restaurant in the area, has sumptuous North African dishes peppered with a Western European taste and theres also Bazar, an Arabian restaurant spiced up with a North African twist. Dont forget to shop around the small, quaint shops too as De Pijp is an artists town, and will surely surprise you at every turn.

Sandy Escapades on the Beaches of Amsterdam

Whether youre a party girl or a relaxed dinette, there are so many options in Amsterdam to accommodate everyone. Beaches down the North Coast are an easy escape outside of the city quite convenient to go to using public transportation or through a short drive. In North Amsterdam you will find the beaches of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort waiting with great pavilions to hang out in. Bars and restaurants are found just across the beach area with 40 themed pavilions that can be explored with the family too if wished. Bloemendaal is by far the most popular among partygoers with live music, DJs and a Bohemian lifestyle. There are also other nearby beaches which arent as crowded such as Egmond aan Zee, Castricum and Schoorl. The first is the nearest beach from the village and is also quite close the shopping district of Amsterdam. For a full list of the different beaches Amsterdam has to offer, check out their official website.

Wine Courses and Workshops at the Amsteltuin Vineyard

For those who want a day excursion in the country, escaping to the town next to Amsterdam, Amstelveen is a wonderful way to escape the busy lifestyle of the village. Amstelveen houses the only Dutch vineyard close to Amsterdam, the Amsteltuin Vineyards, which has wine-related activities such as workshops and wine courses. Request for a group tour in advance in order to see the full capacity of the vineyard. The grapes in the vineyard are still under experimentation as of now, conceptualizing which wine is best made with the grapes, so wine tasting sessions will have to be under special request. In the more warm-weathered months, one can enjoy a barbecue and buffet from the staff if wished. The laidback ambiance of the setting though is enough for you to spend the day perfectly, relaxing with wine in hand on their patios and terraces. Aside from being a vineyard, Amsteltuin has also been made into a care centre for the disabled.
