The Greatest Mark Wahlberg Performances Throughout The Years

One of the coolest actors out there is definitely Mark Wahlberg

. Very few individuals have so seamlessly made the transition from music to establishing a very successful acting career. Not to mention the fact that Marky Mark was also an underwear model at one point. Regardless, he is now a full fledged actor, and a pretty good one at that.

This article will discuss what I consider to be the best films of Mark Wahlberg's career.

While The Basketball Diaries was won of his first films, it still remains one of my favorites. It may be hard to believe that a young Leonardo DiCaprio was a great basketball player, as depicted in this film, but Wahlberg was a perfect fit for his role.

Another fantastic movie that stars Mark Wahlberg is Fear. I really liked him in this movie because it is a departure from the roles that we have come to love him for. He plays a seriously bad dude in this movie and is very convincing with it.

Another awesome movie that Wahlberg was in is The Departed. This was the 2006 Academy Award winner for Best Picture of the Year and gave director Martin Scorsese his first Academy Award for Best Director.

It is tough to make a list of Mark Wahlberg movies without mentioning Three Kings. This is one of the best war movies of the past 15 years, and it is great because it focuses on the Persian Gulf War, which is often overlooked in the film industry.

Finally, Boogie Nights has to be mentioned in this article. The role of Dirk Diggler might have been Wahlberg's best role to date, and this movie has become a cult classic. Director Paul Thomas Anderson hit a home run with this one.
