The HTC Desire HD has Locations which with the use of its internal GPS antenna allow

you to easily navigate your way around exploring maps with no waiting time or dead-spots. The handset also has an 8 megapixel camera for image capture and recording HD video clips.

The phone has a 1 GHz Qualcomm SnapDrano processor powering the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system with the Sense user interface, and supported by 768 megabytes of random access memory to allow seamless and rapid opening of applications of which more than one can be run at any time. Internal storage memory is 1.5 gigabytes supported by a further expandable storage memory through the microSD card slot (which is also Sd 2.0 compatible).

The Desire HD features a large 4.3 inch WVGA (480 by 800) resolution touch screen with pinch to zoom technology through which you are presented with the simplistic and intuitive user interface. The 8 megapixel camera is capable of video recording at 720 pixel resolution and High Definition quality while the camera also has auto focus nada dual LED flash. Automatic location tagging (Geotagging) is also provided for both images and videos.

For multimedia playback the handset offers the Gallery application to show images and watch back HD videos, while you can also share them, and music with a compatible television through the DLNA connectivity offered. The Music application offers a simple music library with selection from album, artist or genre, along with an internal FM radio. The handset also provides superior sound quality thanks to its Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound technology.

Social networking is made easy with the Friend Stream application which provides a full view of all contacts by name, photo and other details besides also featuring their latest status updates on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile, videos can be instantly shared on social networks as well as the integrated YouTube, and images also, besides the integrated Flickr respectively. Both Facebook and Twitter have been optimised for the Sense user interface, and Peep application makes it even easier for Twitter users to tweet away form their mobile.
