The HTC Desire HD offers up to 7 customisable home screens with differing icons and shortcuts to features such as its impressive 8 megapixel camera for High Definition video recording or its social networking integration. Additionally, the handset provides great connectivity and preloaded widgets for music, photos and much more.

Connectivity to the internet is offered with 3G networking along with the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi tethering to allow the handset to act as a Wi-Fi router for a laptop when on the move, through the handsets standard microUSB connection. Other connectivity is also provided with the Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate including, File Transfer and Object Push Protocols as well as A2DP for wireless stereo headsets to connect to the handset.

The Desire HD has great social networking integration featuring both integrated Facebook and Twitter for the Sense intuitive user interface offered on top of the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system running. The Friend Stream application (preloaded) also shows you in a single view, all of your contacts with a photo image, latest messages and status updates on Facebook (in chronological order). There is also integrated YouTube for video sharing and Flickr for photo sharing alongside the more popular social networks. Twitter is also enhanced with the Peep widget, making it quicker and easier.

The handset has a powerful 8 megapixel camera for video recording in High Definition at 720 pixel resolution, which can be viewed back in the Gallery application, or alternatively beamed wirelessly to another device such as a laptop or HD compatible television with the DLNA DMS connection. Audio is also well catered for with Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound deployed. For image capturing the phones camera is provided with great software including face detection, depth of field, vignette and more, additionally, it is auto focus and has a dual LED flash.

The phone also has an internal GPS antenna which enables it to provides location based services, including automatic Geotagging of images and videos when captured with its camera. The Locations application meanwhile, also allows you to explore maps which require no loading time, have no dead spots and cost nothing in roaming charges, allowing you to take advantage of great navigation and location based technology.

The HTC Desire HD features an impressive 4.3 inch display which allows you to watch back HD videos and more through the seamless user interface and powerful operating system which is Campbell of running multiple applications.
