Standard Smartphone features that you would expect include full Wi-Fi connectivity and fast Internet browsing, as well as Internet access via an HSDPA connection at speeds up to 7.2 mega bytes per second in areas covered by 3G. An impressive digital camera offers a respectable 5 mega pixels for the high operating pixel resolution resulting in great quality still images. A number of image enhancing features are provided as standard to simplify the task of taking photos whilst simultaneously improving the quality. The camera also doubles up as an effective video camera shooting footage in WVGA quality at 15 frames per second.

A number of entertainment features also included such as a versatile internal media player, a selection of games and a stereo FM radio player with RDS. With a spec list like this it comes as no surprise that the HTC Desire has proven to be one of the most popular handsets for the manufacturer.
