The HTC Incredible S has both data and WiFi for web surfing full HTML web pages in the Webkit based web browser. The browser utilizes the full 4 inch LCD touch display as with many of the other apps on the handset to offer webpages which look good and are easy to navigate around within the user interface.

The phone as with others from HTC such as the Desire S provides Android and with it the Webkit browser out of the box. The handset has impressive data connectivity including GPRS, EDGE and 3G while also offering a fast connection via its WiFi capabilities, which in many busy places such as bars and cafes can now be connected to for free via wireless hotspots provided. When you connect to the internet, the email client also offered will automatically check for any new email messages, and provide push notification of this.

To surf webpages on the Incredible S simply requires that you have either a data or WiFi connection (and are therefore connected to the internet), from the Home screen simply tap Internet to view the browser application on the large display. To go directly to a webpage all you have to do is press the main icon (a series of three black bars) and tap the URL field at the top of the interface. Using the provided keyboard simply type a webpage address, as you do this matching webpage addresses will display, you can either tap one of these, or continue typing your address and then tap the icon next to the field which looks like a "play" button.

You can easily move between areas of a webpage by swiping your finger around the display, tap twice to quickly zoom in and repeat to zoom back out. You can also use the pinch and spread finger and thumb action to zoom in and out which is the same as other applications on the handsets respectively. While viewing a webpage by tapping the main icon and then the "+" icon, you can open a new browser window. The main browser icon if tapped then appears with "Windows" and allows you to switch seamlessly between windows to enjoy your different webpages opened.

The HTC Incredible S as with many other handsets from the manufacturer allows you to enjoy many great entertainment and information features. One of the best features of a smartphone such as this is the full HTML browser capabilities for the Web. This handset and its browser are easy to use and provide fast access to the information superhighway.
