, HTC has recently launched one of its most desirable handsets, the HTC Legend. This handset boasts impressive features ranging from a five mega pixel digital camera, touchscreen navigation, the latest version of the renowned Android operating system, all encased within an attractive aluminium in handset.
The AMOLED capacitive touchscreen measures 3.2 inches and boasts the capability to display up to 16M colours within a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels providing unparalleled levels of onscreen display quality. An optical trackpad offers an alternative method of navigating menus within the user interface whilst an accelerometer sensor is also included offering an auto-rotate function which allows the screen to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms.
Vibration and ringing are the primary methods of alerting users to incoming calls and text messages. The ability to utilise MP3 and WAV music files as ringtones allows users to customise their handset in order to hear the song of their choice every time the phone rings. Effective handsfree communication can be achieved thanks to a built in speakerphone system and a 3.5 mm audio Jack which can also accommodate earphones for listening to music via the internal media player.
The dimensions of the HTC Legend are 112x 56.3x 11.5 mm making it perfectly sized for comfort of use whilst its light weight of 126 g also makes it a pocket friendly handset. The appearance of the handset is attractive thanks to a manufacturing process which utilises an aluminium unibody, giving a sophisticated edge.
The HTC Legend is equipped with a five mega pixel digital camera which includes such features as Autofocus and an LED flash. These features simplify the task of taking good quality photos. As one may expect, the camera can also shoot video, offering an alternative method of image capture.
A variety of different connectivity features are utilised in order to provide the HTC Legend with optimum levels of connectivity dependent upon location and network coverage. Class 10 versions of both EDGE & GPRS provide the initial means of cellular network connectivity. In areas covered by 3G, and HSDPA connection provides access to the Internet at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 2 MB per second). A faster Internet connection can be achieved thanks to the inclusion of Wi-Fi Technology which utilises the signals provided by local wireless Internet routers, allowing users to surf the web at broadband speeds. Micro USB connectivity allows the phone to be connected to a computer in order to carry out various tasks such as backing up phonebook info all transferring music tracks etc.
Plenty of internal storage is provided for files and data such as music tracks. Expandable memory is provided thanks to the inclusion of a micro SD slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB. This is ample to store most people's digital music collections along with a number of other files.
Thanks to it's a super impressive styling and appealing list of specifications, the HTC Legend deserves its recent popularity among a range of mobile phone users.
