The same was true for Gordie Howe as I discovered when doing research for his portrait. Their greatness and that of others came through love and devotion for the game." said James Lumbers a number of years ago.

The notion of doing a collection of six hockey collector giclees representing young people and their NHL & olympic hockey dreams was motivated by these experiences; to play for teams like Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit red Wings, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks and Canada's olympic hockey team.
