The History of Electronic Cigarettes - Beginning of E-Cigarette

The Electronic Cigarette was first invented in and marketed in China by the Golden Dragon Group in 2004. The Electronic Cigarette was patented as Ruyan, meaning "almost like smoke". The idea of "almost like smoke" combined with the ability to now smoke anywhere quickly helped the Golden Dragon Group catapult to success.

Not surprisingly, the idea of the Electronic Cigarette quickly spread on the Internet, and companies all over the globe began producing and marketing their own brands of Electronic Cigarettes.

Beginning of Electronic Cigarette

Greg Carson, a businessman in the United Kingdom discovered Electronic Cigarettes and adapted them to the Western Market. He called his brand the "Electro Fag" and gained popularity and a strong following in Europe. The Electro Fag was such a hit in Europe that the English Parliament ruled the device to become legal in places like restaurants and buildings where traditional cigarettes were otherwise banned.

When the Electronic Cigarette hit the US market, tons of companies sprouted up and began producing and distributing the E-Cig. Not only could they be found on the internet, but also at mall kiosks and retailers. Many users swear by Electronic Cigarettes, and have completely given up traditional smoking.

With multiple Electronic Cigarette companies producing and marketing brands, there are constant changes and upgrades being made to the basic unit model. Some companies produce a 3 or 4 unit device, while other companies such as Green Smoke produce a unique patented 2 part device that are easier and cleaner to use than the 3 or 4 part units.

Not all Electronic Cigarettes are created equally. Some start-up kits can be a little too expensive for those on a tight budget, while some of the cheaper models may be inadequate or disappointing in results. Having your choice of so many different Electronic Cigarette Companies around the world should be used to your advantage to find the product that fits all your needs.

It is often said that variety is the spice of life, and the same can be said for Electronic Cigarettes. Many companies now offer a variety of flavors such as menthol, traditional tobacco, vanilla, coffee, strawberry, mint and many more. With technological advances happening every day, Electronic Cigarettes are constantly being improved. The battery life, smoke volume and shape, feel and weight of many E-Cigs has improved to mimic traditional cigarettes on an even more realistic basis. The LED tip on many E-Cigs has improved, making the "ember" of the E-Cig brighter and more realistic.

Electronic Cigarettes have been marketed primarily to smokers concerned about their health and well being. They have not yet been approved by the FDA as a smoking cessation device, and there is still debate surrounding their safety. With recent and upcoming improvements in technology, there is sure to be many more improvements and types of Electronic Cigarettes available to consumers who wish to change their lives and health by quitting traditional smoking and embracing E-Cigarette.
