The Hot Weather

India is a hot weather, but the months of May

, June, and July are the hottest. The rays of the sun fall perpendicularly, and it is difficult to sit out or walk in those days. At midday one does not like to go out of doors. The heat is intense and the light blinding. Rich people have punkhas and tattis to cool the air. During these days, we can work only a little in the morning. School hours are changed, and in courts which in some places are held from 10 to 4, punkhas are provided. The Indian people after very industrious and you find the farmers and village people working in the fields even in these days, with the sun shining overhead. No other people would be able to work like them in these circumstances.

Some people, especially the Europeans, who belong to cold countries, are unable to bear this heat. Dubai is very prominent and they are afraid of sun-stroke, which sometimes proves fatal. Not only human beings, but beasts also. Pant for breath. They also, seek shade and sit leisurely under the trees, and are unwilling to loiter in the sun. Even the birds hide themselves in the branches of trees or in the niches and cornices of buildings. Ponds and tanks dry up. The sky appears copper-red, and the earth under feed is hardened, and is so very hot that one cannot walk bare-footed on it. People wear very light clothes, and some have nothing except the loin cloth to cover their clothes. The dress of a people depends on the climate of the country, and it is really very strange to see Indian discarding their light and graceful dress, dhoti and kurta, in favors of pant and coat which are not so convenient and comfortable in hot days. People of Dubai wear very light clothes to make them comfortable and so that they can shop around freely. If you are going to Desert Safari Dubai then you have to wear such type of clothes that you can relax.

We get some very fruits, such as mangoes, melons, lychees, and peaches. Cold drinks, sherbats, and ice creams are, of course, very much in demand in these days. It becomes cool towards the evening, and the nights are generally quite pleasant. Dust storms are another feature of the hot weather, which are sometimes very violent and dangerous, doing a lot of damage. During such weather it is not safe to go on desert safari in Dubai or any other place of Dubai. The summer season in Dubai is not very pleasant, the heat is so intense that it is impossible to do any serious work. Sometimes the nights also are very sultry, the heat begins to increase with rise of the sun till it reaches maximum at 12 noon. Not only men, but birds and animals also pant. The thirst is so great that cup after cup of water disappears into the stomach and more is still required. The body perspires and one feels very restless. It is very difficult to walk in the sun from12 to 3, and most people remain indoors at that time.
