The phones built-in accelerometer enables use it in landscape mode where an on-screen QWERTY keyboard delivers a responsive typing experience. The Desire provides ample support for simple services like SMS and MMS, and the more advanced Exchange mail and personal e-mail too. The handset lets you manage various e-mail accounts with Hotmail and Gmail compatible among other popular providers. IM has also been covered by HTC with support for all the popular providers including WindowsLive and Google Chat.
