The HTC Desire HD with Android offers much that the Nokia C7 running Symbian does

including the ability to multitask using multiple applications at once and use the simple finger touch parameters offered by the touch screen displays. Both handsets also feature an 8 megapixel camera with auto focus and dual LED flash.

The Desire HD provides the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system which has Android Market allowing you to add further apps to the handset. This is in addition to the 7 home screens which you can customise, similarly to the Nokia C7 with three customisable home screens allowing you to choose different themes, shortcuts, icons and widgets for at the starting place every time you go to your phone at different times and places, for example work and at home. The Desire HD has a large 4.3 inch WVGA display with touch sensitivity offering simple finger motions to control the intuitive user interface offered by HTC on top of the operating system. Onscreen alphameric and full QWERTY keyboards are also offered for easy text input through the touch parameters, as is the case with the C7, which also has easy finger touch control.

Both handsets offer a powerful 8 megapixel auto office camera with dual LED flash (3rd generation on the Nokia C7), as well as the ability to capture both images and video record in High Definition, aided further by software such as built-in effects. Both handsets also feature easy email and messaging clients which offer good attachment compatibility including support for HTML emails in HTML respectively, and conversation like text messaging within combined MMS and SMS editors. Additionally, the Locations app on the Desire HD provides free and full maps with no loading time required, while the C7 has preloaded Ovi Maps which also allow you to see where you are, get directions and more from your phone. The Desire HD has Bluetooth and a microUSB connector providing fast and easy syncing, as does the C7 also. The handsets each offer an integrated FM radio too, for live news an music in addition to their respective music players.

The HTC Desire HD is a light-weight handset featuring a main great camera for video recording in HD and image capture, along with a secondary front facing camera and offering video calling capabilities, as does the Nokia C7. Both handsets also offer many capabilities which are similar despite some differences, such as touch controlled and data input screens, and microSD expandable memory for plenty of storage.
