The Htc Desire Provides A Large Touch Sensitive Display

The HTC Desire offers a large touch sensitive display which takes you into a seamless

user interface powered by a fast 1 GigaHertz processor and 576 megabytes random access memory. It has a 5 megapixel camera, great connectivity, social networking integrated and more.

The Music widget provides you with a place to find all of your favourite tracks and play them back while using other applications on the Android 2.1 (Eclair) operating system with the HTC Sense user interface for ease of use. Additional music and live news is also offered by the integrated FM radio. Music can be played through traditional headphones with the 3.5mm audio jack connection, or you can utilise the A2DP Bluetooth profile which offers you a wireless connection to use with a wireless Bluetooth stereo headset, or alternatively connect to a speaker system for public playback.

Social networking is made easy with integrated Facebook and Peep for twittering, along with Friend Stream which shows not just contacts, but their latest social networking updates, tweets and more as you scroll through them using simple finger movements. Other networking with friends can be done through the text and multimedia messaging or the instant messaging also on offer.

The Desire has an impressive 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash and automatic geotagging, just one of the location based services thanks to the handsets digit compass and internal GPS antenna. You choose the ratio when capturing your moments in images or in video too, as you can rotate the handset to take widescreen shots. The face detection software also means it is easy to take the perfect picture first time.

The Android operating system running on this phone allows you the ability to easily customise your features, with shortcuts to your most used widgets and applications on each of the seven home screens which you can configure. It also means that you are open to a world of application and widgets to download to add even more resources to your mobile. File sharing can be done too, with the Bluetooth 2.1 (with Enhanced Data Rate) and the microUSB 2.0 connection.

The HTC Desire is an impressive touch screen handset offering you multiple applications all running at once backed by its powerful processor and RAM. Besides its many preinstalled widgets and features, it also has the ability to offer you more should you download further widgets. Meanwhile, the camera offers a great way to capture both photos and videos as you go.
