The Htc Legend Provides A Large Amoled Capacitive Touch Screen Display

The HTC Legend has a large AMOLED capacitive touch screen display with pinch-to-zoom

capability through which the user is presented with the easy to use HTC Sense user interface and the Android 2.1 Eclair operating system. It also has a 5 megapixel camera and many preloaded resourceful applications.

The handset has integrated Facebook and an HTC Peep application which integrates with Twitter along with Friend Stream which shows the user all their contacts n one place with their contact details, photo and latest Tweet or status update on Facebook. The user can instantly share their photos and videos through both social networking services also, along with Flickr and YouTube.

The phones 5 megapixel resolution camera is auto focussing and includes a flash to enhance images in poor light conditions. Meanwhile, along with video recording it is able to capture photos in widescreen ratio too, and through the internal GPS antenna automatic geotagging is also provided. Additionally, photos and videos can be enjoyed on the handset with the Photos application.

The Legend has a fast 600 megahertz processor chip powering through to 384 megabytes of random access memory alongside the 512 megabytes of read-only memory and a microSD memory card slot which is capable of offering the user up to 32 gigabytes worth of stored music, photos, videos and downloaded widgets and applications. The handset also backs up certain data and settings automatically to the microSD card including text and multimedia messages, webpage bookmarks and Wi-Fi passwords.

Music is the application which sorts tracks, albums and creates playlists while supporting all the major audio file formats alongside the integrated FM radio also featured on this handset. All music can be enjoyed in the background while running other multiple applications at once on this Android phone, and an be listened to with standard headphones through the 3.5mm audio jack connection or the Bluetooth A2DP profile for wireless stereo headsets.

With the phones integrated GPS as mentioned, location based services are available to the user by way of Google Maps which is preinstalled and also HTC Footprints, which is the manufacturers own navigation application. It offers straight forward route planning and views, nearby landmarks and points of interest and turn by turn navigation in tandem with the internal digital compass.
