Bracora, Morar in Invernessshire is in a beautiful secluded south-facing hillside setting, this detached croft house has wonderful views across Loch Morar to the mountains beyond. A wonderful place to spot Golden Eagles but coastal birds can also be seen on boat trips to the Islands of Eigg, Rhum, Canna and the Isle of Skye or on the nearby Silver Sands of Morar. Keep an eye out for the Slavonian Grebe around here too. This Scottish cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms.
Due to is location on the west coast of Scotland the Isle of Mull is sometimes seen as the bird watchers paradise. Many truly rare birds are spotted on the island but even if you are not around to see a Surf Scoter or Bee-eater then you can still enjoy Divers, Grebes and Shearwaters and hope to catch sight of a rarer species.
Mackays Self catering cottages has three properties on the Pennyghael Estate. Covering approx. 10,000 acres, stretching from the shores of Loch Scridain southwards to the sea cliffs at Carsaig, overlooking Jura, Islay and Colonsay, and westwards for 5 miles from Pennyghael village. There is abundant wildlife on this beautiful island and visitors may see otters, red deer, sea eagles and golden eagles Each of these three appealing properties is in a lovely private location and has superb views - garden table and chairs are provided for relaxing outdoors and there is plenty of space for children to play in the fresh air.
Red Throated and occasionally Black Throated Divers are occasionally spotted on Loch Awe but also seen are Ospreys, and a wide variety of ducks. Our four person Scottish cottage in Inverinan is In an elevated position on the western shore of majestic Loch Awe, this pretty little detached cottage is set within a lovely, private, lawned garden and has a large furnished patio with superb loch views. The welcoming interior is comfortably furnished and cosy for a holiday at any time of year. There are literally hundreds of miles of wonderful hill, forest and lochside walks begin on the doorstep of the cottage and as well as Ben Cruachan, there are 11 Munros within an hour's drive.
