The Ideal Time To Train by:Chris McCombs

Working out has become a necessity in life

Working out has become a necessity in life. No matter what type of body frame one has, he wants to either work out to lose fat, stay fit or tone up muscles. So all and sundry with lean, medium or large frames have started realizing the importance of working out.

In the context of working out, one question has always been debated. What is the ideal time? Many consider that early morning workouts are the most effective. This is the reason why we see many hop into their sports tracks early in the morning and move on to health clubs, parks or beaches nearby. It is also generally believed that exercising in the morning helps one to stay fresh and calm all day without getting tired.

Mild exercises like walking and jogging are said to have the effect of meditation as one concentrates on the legs - the toes and heels and how the body weight shifts from one foot to another. This then would be the ideal time to walk or jog.

Yet there are a section of people who get more stressed working out in the morning, as they cannot easily combine their daily routines and workouts all at the same time. One process seems to delay the other and then everything goes berserk.

Then another comfortable time seems to crop up - the evenings. Come back from work and take time off is the accepted slogan. Evenings soothe the pains and pressures of the whole day. There is enough time to relax and just think of one's own fitness level for some time rather than thinking of what work to plan for the next day. So evenings are also more suited and opted by many.

Here again there is a clich. What about people who have to work late and can return home just in time for dinner. Workout is often not advised immediately after meals. SO then what is the solution? With both mornings and evenings ruled out, people generally decide to stop working out. But is this the only way? Surely not!

Today many apartments and workplaces have in built gymnasiums for their occupants. So can a woman just get into the gym late in the afternoon when there is no need to rush? Can a person at office just take a few minutes mid day when the work is slightly less? Will working out this time produce the desired result?

Luckily for all of us, health and fitness experts suggest that any time is ideal time for workouts. However there are certain factors to be considered.

Can workout be done with the same intensity?

Is eating affected by the workout?

Can you stick to the same workout patterns?

One other interesting fact is that doctors advise against working out immediately after waking up. At least an hour must elapse as the vertebrae get filled with fluid overnight and are more injury-prone early morning.

So consider carefully and make a choice.
