In the first 3 months, baby will experience some milestones that you'll want to watch for. She should begin lifting her head, responding to sound, and smiling during the first 3 months. After that, the major changes will begin. Around month 4, she'll be able to bear weight with both legs and laugh. These are major milestones for both you and baby. Month 5 will bring rolling over and grasping. Seeing these baby developmental milestones can be exciting for parents. At 6 months old, baby will be able to sit, imitate, and reach.

The next few months will bring even bigger changes for baby. Around month 7, baby will be able to feed herself a cracker or cookie with her hands. Month 8 will bring crawling and responding to her name. Baby will continue to develop new skills with month 9, when she'll be able to stand while holding on to something and pull herself up.
