They get enough compensation from the company to avoid having to try and make money off every distributor/retailer that they recruit. Middlemen on the other hand do exactly the opposite - they do not render any service except that of adding a layer between you and the wholesale guy.
Quantity of the Product: Company distributors have volume targets and it is natural for them to pass these onto the people that buy from them. Do not expect that you will be able to pick up single quantities; if you can, you are in all probability dealing with a middleman who is just adding a layer between you and the wholesaler. So better be careful.
Affiliation to Company: Last but not the least, it be worthwhile to explore the affiliation that your chosen wholesaler has with the company or, at the very least, its authorized national distributors. This ensure that you get timely product delivery, best quality products as well as the benefit of all the supply chain schemes that the company runs from time to time.
