PCB Assembling:

After all the parts and components of the PCB are made, the assembling of the components starts. The assembling is done through two processes. The first process is known as through-hole construction; in this process, the components are inserted in the holes. The other process is called surface-mount construction; here, the components are located on the pads that are on the outer surface of the PCB. In both the processes, the components are fixed mechanically or electrically with the help of a solder metal.

Process of Soldering:

The PCB follows different methods of soldering to connect the various components. The high volume production soldering is done by the process of machine placement or wave type soldering. In this process, the technicians connect very minute parts of PCB under the microscope with the help of tweezers. It allows proper holding of the fine tip soldering iron.

Testing of PCB:

After the soldering is done, the PCB is sprayed or dipped with conformal coating. The use of this coat helps in avoiding corrosion, leakage, or in-built short circuit. After the assembly of PCB is done, the board is tested to make sure that all the connections have been properly set. The PCB majorly faces two flaws, i.e. open and shorts. In the open situation, there might be an undesired connection and in the short situation, there might be a mission connection of the circuits. A wrong assembling of PCB may lead to short circuit. Thereby, lead to damaging of the product.

All manufacturers make sure that the proper testing of PCB takes place before the dispatch of the board. The PCB assembly is sensitive to static waves, therefore, is properly placed inside bags with antistatic quality to avoid damage. The high quality connectivity has made the use of PCB common in all electrical equipment.
