Battery-powered brushes clean more effectively and are easier to use on dogs that are a little hard to keep still.

Chewable: There are chewable toothbrush options out there for your dog. These are great because you can apply your dog toothpaste and let them chew on the brush. This is very nice for dogs who do not like to stay still, or dogs that may try to bite you if you stick an object in their mouth.
