The object of dating is taking your time to get to know your partner and how they think, feel, what their goals are or what their values are. All of these things are internal not external. So that's why is so important to get to know someone before taking it to the next level in your relationship

Start by learning their likes and dislikes, who is their hero in their life, ask each other questions about how they view the world and finding out more about their character is important first steps in a dating relationship. Make your dates something as simple as going to the park or take time to go to a ball game together. Having opportunities to sit and talk will either bring you closer as a couple or pretty much make up your mind this cookie isn't for you

Relationships grow by cultivating time, patience and trust. Time is needed to learn more about each other. Patience is needed when dealing with each others quirks. Trust does not sprout over night. By nurturing the relationship with these three things will lay down an amazing foundation to build a strong relationship.

Learning about the other person and their personality is the main idea behind the dating process. Jumping straight into a physical relationship does nothing but possibly emotional attaching yourself to someone you may not even have anything in common with.
