The Impressive Nokia X6

Nokia have maintained there tradition of producing superb Music Phones with the addition to there range of the latest model, the X6.

Anybody looking to purchase a phone with the primary criteria being its music handling capabilities will not be disappointed with the new Nokia X6. A huge chunk of 32GB of memory comes with the phone (there will be a 16GB version available too), removing the need to purchase additional memory cards in order to achieve all your multimedia needs. The handsets 3G and WiFi capabilities means accessing Nokia's "Comes with Music" service is easy, even when your on the move. The first years access to the service is free too, which is a plus point for many music lovers. The user has the choice of using there own choice of headphones with the X6 thanks to the inclusion of a headphone socket. Graphically the media player looks nice, with a series of on screen sliders allowing the listener to really choose how their music sounds.

Nokias failure to produce a touchscreen handset with a real wow factor in the past few years is a much maligned point. Those ghosts can be laid to rest now with the screen on the Nokia X6 being superb. The 3.2" display show a massive 16 million colours and display a very good resolution of 380 x 640. The display is a capacitive touchscreen which is a marked improvement over previous models. Navigation is effortless and very responsive. A nice touch from the manufacturers is to make the screen from a scratch resistant material, brilliant for those who have their phone knocking around in their bag or pocket with keys and coins etc. Overall the unit measures up fairly similarly to other comparable models, but at first glance the phone does appear incredibly compact. Whether this is down to the smooth lines that make up its design, or the very minimalist fascia which is dominated by the aforementioned screen remains to be scene. It does look sleek and attractive, always a good starting point with any modern handset thank to today's much more fashion savy consumer.

Battery life is fairly impressive on the Nokia X6. The Lithium ion battery can give up to 420 hours in standby and up to 6 hours talktime. Perhaps a better way with a multimedia handset such as this is to look at the battery life in terms of music playback, which in this case is up to 35 hours.

All things considered, Nokia really seem to have come up trumps with this stunning looking handset. There is something in the mix to appeal to everybody including an impressive camera, great connectivity and responsive performance, however music fans are the ones who will be really bowled over by the new X6.
