The Impressive Samsung Galaxy S3 Boasts Innovative Aesthetics

The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the more interesting smartphone releases of late

, especially in terms of its design. At the launch of the device in Earls Court in London, a lot of attention was paid to the ergonomic design which is inspired by nature.

There were a number of clues about this before the launch actually took place. The flyer which invited press to the launch had a minimalistic design which features photos of pebbles in blue and white colours. At the launch, it was said that the shape of the phone was inspired by leaves and pebbles and it also turned out that the phone will be available in both blue and white colours, hence the pebbles on the flyer.

When you look at the phone, the inspiration is apparent. The edges are curved and there are no sharp corners or hard edges to the device, which is almost at the other end of the scale of the likes of the iPhone 4S with its industrial appearance. The smooth shape of the phone adds to the comfort when holding it, which becomes more important than normal considering the phone has a large 4.8 inch touchscreen. When holding such a large phone with one hand, hard edges and sharp corners would quickly become uncomfortable.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is manufactured using a new process called HyperGlaze which was reportedly created specifically for this device. This coats the phone in a hardwearing glaze which prevents scratched while giving it an attractive finish. It also seals the gaps between different parts of the phone, so you cannot feel where the screen and the phones bezel meet. In conjunction with the shape of the phone, this makes it even more comfortable to hold and adds to the smooth feel of the handset.

While the design and appearance of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most appealing aspects of the phone, the technology it incorporates is equally impressive. Some of the most cutting edge features are included such as Samsungs most advanced phone camera, high definition touchscreen, quad-core processor and an all new voice activated personal assistant called S-Voice which operates in a similar way to the famous Siri feature of the Apple iPhone 4S.
