The Impressive Sony Xperia P Has An 8 Megapixel Camera With Hd Video
The Sony range is always receiving new additions to its line up
, to bring the range up to date with the fast pace of developments of mobile phone technology. One of the new additions is the Sony Xperia P which I will take a closer look at in this article.
Screen
The Sony Xperia P has an ample 4 inch screen, which with its resolution of 540x 960 is ideal for multimedia use. Whether watching videos, photo slideshows or playing games, the qHD resolution and the levels of brightness and clarity provided by the LED-backlit LCD panel ensure a great viewing experience. The resolution off the screen may not be the highest out there, but it is on par with the HTC Sensation XE, and very close to the retina display of the iPhone 4S, so as you can see it is impressive nonetheless.
Connectivity
The Sony Xperia P utilises a number of different connection methods to provide the best possible phone and internet connections based on local coverage and signal strength. HSDPA provides the initial means of connection to the internet over 3G, whereby data download speeds of up to 14.4 megabytes per second can be achieved. This is the same level found on the HTC Sensation XE and iPhone 4S, so it is one of the fastest download speeds out there. When access to a local wireless network is available, the phones Wi-Fi connectivity provides and even faster connection with the added bonus of less battery consumption and no data usage charges.
Camera
When choosing a new smartphone, the most important feature for many people is the quality of the built in camera. This is ultimately a major deciding factor when choosing a new handset. The Sony Xperia P impresses in this respect, as its 8 megapixel camera is about as good as they get on a device at this price point. Pictures are produced in excellent quality thanks to the 8 megapixel resolution, and improved further thanks to a number of included features such as autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face & smile detection, image stabilisation, and even a 3D panoramic capture mode. As you can see, there are plenty of features included with the camera, as well as the ability to capture 1080p video footage.
The Sony Xperia P has the previous version of Android, called Gingerbread, although it has been confirmed that the handset will support an upgrade to the new Ice Cream Sandwich version in the near future. This new software combined with a powerful 1. GHz dual-core processor ensures that users will get a great experience. The handset ticks all the boxes in terms of its hardware and software alike, and as an added bonus it one of the more stylish offerings out there. If you are looking for an eye catching alternative to the norm, the Sony Xperia P comes highly recommended.
