, many developing countries such as India, China, Brazil and Mexico are in the race of increasing their economy with a huge attention towards their consumer market.

One of the major factor that has led the emergence of consumer market at its peak, despite of the financial crisis in the European countries and rising prices of the yellow metal and silver in India is its point of not getting affected even in the recession. White goods generally means home appliances. The MNCs and Manufacturers are spending a lot on their advertisement of products just to tempt the costumers by giving exciting offers on various occasions and festivals and by this way they are substantially preserving their future in the market. According to the sales report of LG Electronics,the company is acquiring the 26% of the Indian consumer goods market production in the consumer electronics industry which is projected approximately around US$ 6.7 billion in 2009-10.The sector has been witnessing a growth of 18% .

In this tough competition market where customer satisfaction and service is very important, majority of the MNCs are failing to prove their slogan costumer is our God right as the number of complaints are coming in notice against the MNCs like Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Sony etc where the appliances under warranty are failing to cover the associated risk and a bad customer feedback as far as service is concerned.

Indias consumer market is playing a leading role in the countrys economic boom but it is simultaneously witnessing high rate of consumer dissatisfaction. The main reason behind the lack of customer satisfaction is the severe competition of the MNCs with the local brands in the market especially adoption of Chinas consumer market on a very large scale Another point is the increasing growth of E-Commerce and Online shopping where costumers are getting a huge variety to choose from resulting in a bad customer service and ineffectiveness of the product in terms of Warranty. The after sale services turned out to be pathetic and the consumer forums have complaints and even forums named LG pissed consumers, Woes against Samsung!


In case of Online shopping of White goods, when it comes to delivering the product the companies are pretty much concerned in shipping the products even cash on delivery is on the move but this is like Bed of Roses with thorns for the costumer as the companies fails to cover the warranty once the product is delivered.

The numbers of complaints are increasing in the consumer forum court thereby putting the stamp on this severe concern as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. The consumer companies need to put the brakes on this if they really want to survive in this competitive environment.
