This year has proven to be remarkable as it relates to new technology

. Long before the launch of the iPad, I would think about what on earth I would use this product for if I were to buy it. Sure, carrying around three or more pounds of laptop was convenient because it allowed me access when I needed it to work, email and documents. My laptop allowed me to also edit web sites or create web pages while away from my home office. Although it was very inconvenient to remove my laptop from my mini bluetooth keyboard, turn it on and wait until everything loaded, the iPad was and is a better tool that allows me nearly instant on access and a connection to what I need.

I have access to my email, I can create documents and remote into a clients computers to provide technical support. I no longer carry my laptop with me, since I do much writing and responding to emails and blog posts, the iPad allows me to be anywhere to conduct business and respond to customers. I can process credit cards, pay bills, connect to FTP servers and attend web meetings. Responding to replies on my blog allows me to crank away at responses with ease and speed using the on screen keyboard. Why then would I use the ipad mini keyboard? I have a choice of tools to use. When the situations allows, I can use the wireless keyboard to produce lengthy documents and emails with speed and accuracy. I still have the flexibility and convenience to carry and use exactly what I need to get the job done because everything is light weight and extremely portable. The on board ipad bluetooth keyboard is great, the wireless keyboard is excellent, it is simply another asset that allows me to produce more, faster and with accuracy. The onscreen keyboard I will use when I'm in a boardroom meeting, the wireless is for producing some keystroke intensive work.

Authors will find this added input device a real plus when it comes to getting more use from your iPad. What about lugging all that stuff around? No need to worry, third party vendors produce some excellent cases that will accommodate your iPad, the ipad wireless keyboard and your cables. I like the ides of being able to carry much less and still take my business mobile. Being able to write and listen to some music at the same time allows me to be more creative. There is nothing like being able to get out of the office and relax in another surrounding, listen to some music and write. You can also make phone calls from the magical device; with the right app, business owners can really be productive away from the office.
