The Island Of Oahu

Oahu, known as the gathering place is Hawaiian third largest and most populated island and hosts the state capital, Honolulu.

Oahu, while still popular destination for tourists doesn't offer the same, relaxed, atmosphere of Maui, which has the wide openness of a big island.

Instead, Oahu offers a more developed and urban Hawaiian experience for it's visitors.

Olomana, or path to the sea, is situated along the southern shore and features a stretch of white sandy beaches and one of the largest shopping centers in America and the World's largest outdoors shopping center.

If it's history that you're looking for then Oahu has that as well. On December 7th 1941 the Empire of Japan attacked the United States naval base located in Pearl Harbor string boarding the Unites States into the second World War.

The base is still operational today but is most known as historical museum where you can take the time and learn all about the infamous attack.

The north shore with it's towering waves and amazing surf locations is probably the island's best region for surfers to tackle some of the toughest waves in the country and where spectators watch in awe.
