The Lg Cookie T300 Disproves The Belief That All Smartphones Need To Be Huge

Following hotly at the heels of their successful Cookie line of smartphones

, LG has come up with three more smartphones to add to the Cookie Series. Although affordably-priced and directed at the young consumers, the Cookie handsets are ideal entry-level devices for those who want to purchase their first smartphone.

The three new phones, the Cookie T300, Cookie Style T310 and Cookie 3G T320, are LGs first to carry full touchscreens. The Cookie series has a dedicated user interface which is optimised to make social networks access faster and more enjoyable. Instant messaging and email will keep users in touch with their contacts thanks to its easy-to-view chat-like interface which keeps all messages and conversations in a single thread.

The smallest and most basic of the three phones, the Cookie T300 breaks out of the mould which assumes that all smartphones have to be huge. The T300, in fact, only measures 95.8 x 50.5 x 11.9mm and weighs a mere 77 g. Its compact size comes well-balanced with its 2.4-inch TFT resistive touchscreen that renders up to 256K colours at 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

The Cookie T300 has a colourful cartoon-style user interface which will definitely appeal to the young audience. It sports a virtual QWERTY keyboard which can be used in both portrait and landscape modes through its accelerometer feature.

Users can record both still images and video with the phones 1.3 megapixel camera, catch their favourite music station on the stereo FM radio and experience enhanced multimedia with its built in media player. The Cookie T300 comes with 20 MB on-board memory which can be increased up to 4 GB through its built-in microSD expansion card slot. The phones Li-Ion 900 mAh battery can support up to 8 hours of talk time on a single charge.

LG Electronics is serving up a fresh batch of smartphones in its Cookie series the Cookie T300, Cookie Style T310 and Cookie 3G T320. All three phones come with full touchscreens and virtual QWERTY keyboards that can be used in both landscape and portrait modes thanks to the built-in accelerometer sensor.

As the handsets are focused on the youth market as well as budget-conscious buyers, the Cookie series puts a heavy slant on social networks and integrates tightly with Facebook and Twitter. A dedicated app aggregates emails, instant messages and updates from various social networking services into a single easy-to-view conversational thread for each contact.

The handset is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera which, although not of the high-end type, can shoot photos that are more than suitable for uploading and sharing with friends. Its 3.5 mm audio jack enables you to use your favourite headset to listen to music on the stereo FM radio or watch video on the phones media player.

With its low price, the Cookie T300 is a great all-around handset for the young generation of consumers as well as the ideal entry-level device for first-time smartphone users.
