1. The Great Barrier Reef

It houses a vast and diverse marine life from the smallest plankton to the biggest of whales. It also supports around 1625 fish species, 3,000 mollusk species, 215 bird species, 1,400 type of coral reef, 14 kinds of breeding snakes and a whole lot more.

2. Whitehaven Beach

This majestic island is surrounded by crystal clear waters and spotless silica sand which stretches around seven kilometers. It is the biggest island in Whitsundays. This is also where you can find the famous Hill Inlet cove found at the northern part of Whitehaven where you will get the pleasure of witnessing the tides shift the water and sand which results to wonderful burst of hues.

As soon as you set foot on this land, you will know why it is called "The most beautiful beach in Queensland" by a lot of people. And it is also not named by cnn.com as "The most eco-friendly beach in the world of 2010" for nothing.

3. Hook Island

This Island has two major inlets, the Macona and Nara inlets. It is where you will find jaw-dropping and eye-popping under water coral growths which are widely known among thousands of snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. If you are in the mood for an under water exploration but do not like the idea of getting wet, you may do so by riding on a semi-submersible which can seat around 50 people.

You can also kayak around the island, go on a picnic and walk through the forest with your friends or family. You will definitely enjoy every minute spent in Whitsundays as it is truly a fantastic place that everyone should see.
